Aeternum is a fine art black-and-white study of a waterfall, hidden away in the Lake District National Park. The name is Latin for eternal/everlasting, which reflects the timeless flow of the water.
Through long exposure, the turbulence of the fall is transformed into something quiet and continuous — a moment suspended, yet endlessly moving. The surrounding shadows anchor the composition, allowing the luminous flow to take on an almost architectural presence. Aeternum is less a depiction of a place and more an exploration of permanence within motion, where light, form, and time converge.
