Captured in the Lake District National Park, Dies Perfectus (DEE‑ace per‑FEK‑toos) was made during the same storm system as Calm in the Storm. It features the Langdale Pikes from an alternate vantage point — one that obscures Pike O’Stickle but reveals the sheer face of Pavey Ark.
Later in the day, as the rain eased and the cloud began to fracture, brief windows of light cut across the fells and the foreground trees. It was, in every sense, a perfect day for landscape photography.
